Becky Konowicz
Becky has worked in U.S. university admissions for two decades and most recently transitioned to the other side of the desk as a University Counselor at International School of Bangkok in 2024. She supports and guides 9th through 12th graders on their academic and university search process. ISB students represent 60+ nations and attend universities across the globe. Becky brings an international perspective to her counseling to ensure students find the best fit university for their academic and professional endeavors.
Having served as the Dean of Admission at Santa Clara University she was responsible for setting and leading the strategic direction of all admission and recruitment efforts for first-year and transfer students, including oversight of the application review, technical, and marketing initiatives. She has worked in the admission offices at DePauw University and Chapman University prior to Santa Clara University.
Becky is a classic ATCK (Adult Third Culture Kid). The child of DoDEA teachers, she was born in Germany and lived abroad through elementary school. She spent the early part of her career working with international students. She finds continued enjoyment in working with students from all backgrounds and experiences to support their journey towards a higher education degree. Having served on various panels, boards and committees, she also served as President of the International Association for College Admission Counseling (International ACAC). Her degrees are from DePauw University; B.A. in English Literature and Grand Valley State University M.Ed. in Higher Education.
